ERA Fuel Poverty Helpline
The Home Heat Helpline (HHH) is an independent and free telephone service funded by the big 6 energy suppliers in the UK and offers help and advice on fuel poverty and keeping warm to those struggling to pay their energy bills.
ScottishPower has supported the helpline since its launch in October 2005 and has recently committed to providing support for its second year. The helpline, which has the capacity to assist 50k callers per year has received over 33,000 calls to date, of which over 700 have then been transferred to ScottishPower.
Callers who have a supplier related issue are referred to our dedicated team of experienced advisors. They can provide a wide range of help and advice from providing information about our social initiatives and the different tariffs and payment options available, to offering energy efficiency and heating advice as well as details about what it means and how to become a Priority Service Customer through our Carefree scheme.
ScottishPower is committed to working with the ERA to ensure the success of this initiative and to continuing our active promotion of this service.
