Age Concern Sunderland
Project Summary:
The project aims to increase awareness of financial and practical assistance to help older people achieve affordable warmth through grants and other schemes. This will be accomplished by reaching out to older people in the community who may be unable to access energy efficiency and benefit advice or who were unaware of Age Concern Sunderland. The project will also provide advice on energy saving methods such as cavity wall insulation, and will distribute materials such as fleece throws, thermometers, energy efficient light bulbs and carbon monoxide detector patches. The funding will be used to purchase these materials.
