Project Summary:
The Energy Agency is requesting a years funding to target the fuel poor through the Ayr Lochside Community Energy Project. South Ayrshire Council estimate the fuel poverty index of the Ayr Lochside ward to be 58%. The Community Energy Project will carry out nearly 2,000 energy efficiency surveys in the area. Based on the surveys the Project will install free insulation measures where appropriate, provide energy efficiency advice, and finally help households maximise their income.
